The Great Wall of India

Bored and without work! Fast Internet, occasionally functional air-conditioner, passable head phones - and a worthless blog to stare at. Then it dawns upon the creator of that worthless blog that the time is ripe for a new entry. Nothing changed since the last post folks. Still jobless, and yeah still the same facility to access internet. Scrolling through the blog, I realized, I did not post my views on one of the greatest cricketers of our generation, thought it would be useful in such times in the future, where I would have more to tinker with, and for the present would help me kill some time by advertising aggressively for my new blog entry. Aaah perfect! Change the track. Admire the internet speed for being able to listen to music. Blare out the volume to its fullest. And overdrive! A little peek from the manager will not deter this author from his mission.

Easily one of the most gifted batsmen to have ever donned the Indian cap, this tall elegant batsman from the great city of Hyderabad (sorry could not resist) , the Very Very Special Laxman, is probably one of the most under rated cricketer in the history of the game. So stupendous is his success against the greatest team ever assembled on the cricket field that his other efforts have been rather unjustly overlooked.

Damn! Break in the flow. Work assigned. Testing times for the creator of the blog that is there because there is space for it to exist. None the less, with unmatched determination, never before seen grit, yet complete poise, he will overcome all odds to write what he intended to, (think I did that already).

VVS Laxman is the greatest batsman to have ever played for India since 1995, yes, not Dravid, not Ganguly. He is an absolute artist and the ease with which he plays can only be matched by the genius of Sachin. The countless match winning knocks, match saving knocks he has played have by and large gone unnoticed, largely, I guess, because they haven't been as loud as the 281 in Kolkata. But 10 years later, when people sit down and look back, dont be surprised to see a bald Harsha with grey sidelocks say that he was the greatest matchwinner India ever had. Here is to the most greaceful batsman ever seen in our times, the singer, ready with a new song to the Lankan beats, Very Very Special Laxman!!

U are utterly jobless, fellow cypreot..Just pretending on gtalk!!

VVS is a VVS batsman no doubt, n whatever anyone may say, The Kolkata test win remains perhaps one of the most defining moments in test cricket...
He has the most silken touch, and has a vast repertoire of shots....
But don't ask Dravid and ganguly to move over so soon...Dravid has been more onsistent than him.. n won more matches...
VVS is VVS..but not the GREATEST matchwinner

certain precepts to be kept in mind while listening to anything mandu has to say is: take everything to do with the city of hyd ( even vaguely connected stuff ) with a pound of MDH ka garam masala
laxman is a good batsman...theres no doubting that, but his technique has never been the best... of course we all know vivek's definition of technique is anything that works... so i'll give you that.
vvs laxman in my opinion deserves a place close to azhar... in fact he hasnt even accomplished as much as azhar did.
granted he has a few hugely important knocks to his credit.. but calling him the greatest indian batsman since 95 is like calling ajay jadeja or robin singh the best ODI batsman india has ever had

stop begging.... heres your comment...

Once again I am bored and I have nothing to write about. So I am going to write about the fact that I have nothing to write about. Let us take a closer look at this predicament, shall we? I do not have anything to write about but then again it must be questioned if I had anything to write about ever. Well, we must also address the question does anyone ever have anything to write about ever? The answer folks is a simple "NO". None of the so-called active bloggers have anything to write about and this is no mystery and shouldn't come to you as a surprise. All of us are writing to fill up space, space which we thought we could use to write thoughts, viewpoints, blah, blah and more blah.
This is not as abstruse or vague as it seems i.e, its not rocket science. Its simple. Let us take certain other things we do akin to filling up a blog which is done for the sake of doing it. For example, Exercise. Hats off to Jerry Seinfeld for enlightening us or atleast making an effort to, for there are still those obstinate dimwits and staunch optimists who still see purpose in things. We are literally exercising to get through the exercise. I mean, you start working out, its an easy work out routine, you work out more, the routine gets tougher, and so on. So your basically working out so that you can get through the work out.
Another commonplace task is reading and this should not take much convincing (hopefully). Infact, the very fact that your reading this proves my point that you would read anything that's there to be read. Watching television is another thing that comes to mind. Sometimes you just watch it for doing exactly that- to just watch it. Why else would you watch the Oprah Winfrey Show or The Bold and The Beautiful or Friends for the umpteenth time.
